Dr. Oluwatoyin Sowunmi DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Oluwatoyin Sowunmi is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate mental health care. With years of experience serving children, adolescents, and adults, Dr Oluwatoyin empowers each patient to achieve their fullest potential through a holistic, client centered approach.
Dr. Oluwatoyin earned her Associate and Bachelor of science in Nursing before advancing her studies to obtain a Masters, Doctor of Nursing Practice and board certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing. She completed rigorous clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining extensive experience in managing complex psychiatric conditions across diverse populations.
Before establishing her own private practice, Dr Oluwatoyin worked in multiple healthcare environments, including acute care and community based psychiatry. These experince shaped her commitment to accessible, individualized care that addresses both the emotional and medical needs of her patients.
Her clinical expertise include Pyschiatric evaluation, medication management and therapy for a wide spectrum of mental health disorders. She has particular experience in treating depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With her intergrative approach, she works collaboratively with patients to build resilience, restore balance and promote lasting wellness.
